The Dodecanese islands, Greece
These southern small islands of Greece offer many hot and sunny days even in October. Visit Rhodes and its cobbled capital Lindos with many ancient ruins and ancient buildings to explore or discover lesser-known, unspoiled destinations like Leros, Symi, or Pserimos. Just imagine relaxing white or even colorful houses and villages, beach taverns, olive groves, the deep blue color of Aegean Sea, fishermen, timeless landscapes, wild thyme and breezes touching the skin during the hot days. Pick any island or visit several of them.
The Canary Islands, Spain
The Canary Islands may be a famous traveling destination that welcomes over 9 million tourists each year but they offer more than that. You can discover small villages and old buildings dating back to the 16th Century, lush plantations with tiny bananas, cherimoyas gardens, exotic fruity and unique liquors, sand dunes and rocky paths, black and golden beaches, the enormous volcano Teide and a blend of North African and South Spanish culture. And did we mention that most tourists visit the islands in July, August and September?
Rome, Italy
Usually from June to August Rome is unbearably busy, annoyingly full of tourists and pretty hot. May and September used to be the quieter months in which some smart travelers avoided the crowds of tourists. Unfortunately lots of people realized this and now they both are busy and full with tourists. Because of this and the warm weather currently October is the best choice to visit the beautiful Rome. Now you can visit as many places as you want and take the perfect photo without crowds of tourists who will ruin the view.
Los Cabos, Mexico
Rural until mid-20th Century, the Mexican government began to develop the south part of Los Cabos for tourism purposes. The connection between the geography of this destination and the climate is charming and unique, therefore the most fascinating places to visit are located where the desert naturally meets the sea. There are many resorts and clubs for sport fishing and golf. October can also offer several events held in the region that can be quite the experience.
Hawaii
Although Kilauea volcano has erupted, the business still goes strong for this heaven-like place. This year the summer season was even stronger than the one from the previous year. On the other hand the summer season is over and the crowds are gone, the prices are lowered before Christmas and there is no rainfall that will ruin the vacation mood. What a better time to travel to Hawaii than October? You can visit the local bars or the big city restaurants. Go for a relaxing swim in a mysterious jungle cave holes or for an adrenaline-filled surfing experience. Why not explore the rural part of Hawaii or even visit the Surfing Goat Dairy. Go for a walk on the 30 km long beach or on a path in the mountains.
If you have had enough with the crowds at hot famous destinations why not visit them during a warm and sunny month with less or no tourists, who either ruin photos or your mood. Take in mind our suggestions and make your choice. You won’t be disappointed.
